Why be this Quiet about Brilliance
Every time they add some new functionality to my HTC (currently a Legend but previously a Hero) Android phone I am shocked that they are not banging there drums bigger and louder about how much more you can do with these smart-phones. I don’t know why they have a policy of keeping these innovations quite but every time I stumble upon new functionality I find my self wishing I’d known about it sooner.
If I was cynical and maybe also wanted to do a bit of iPhone fan bashing I would say its so the gimmick hunter stick with the iPhone and leave those that actual use their phones features to discover the new bits as we explore the functionality of the true Smart-Phones. To make it worse the companies involved google, HTC, Samsung, Sony to name but a few more than likely have a bigger advertising budget than the GDP of a number of small countries.
The latest inspired addition is part of the google map functionality. It adds extra functions to the place bubbles, which let you either call the location or start navigating to the location. The function is not on by default so you will need to open maps then click the following.

If there is an average for the number of ideas you have in one day, I imagine I would be well above that average. The problem with ideas is you never know how good they are until you tell others. This site should help me discover if I'm just waisting my time.
