The Strider™ teaches your child balance, coordination and develops glittering confidence. Trikes and stabilisers don’t. Traditional bicycles place too much of the focus on learning to pedal but completely miss your child’s balance skills. Trikes are heavy, clunky and difficult for kids to control.

The secret is that when you teach your child balance and coordination before pedalling bike riding becomes easy.

The Strider™ bike takes pedalling out of the mix so that kids can concentrate solely on learning balance, which takes more practice. Pedalling is a secondary skill that kids can easily learn within a few short minutes. The concept isn’t new. The first ride on a balance bike took place in 1817.

The designer’s son became the test rider — after riding a Strider™ prototype for only six months– was riding a two-wheel pedal bike without stabilisers at the age of three. We can also say that the founder of Strider Bike UK, also has a child that can ride a pedal bike even younger than that. ( Still, for pure simple fun, he continually reverts to and spends much of his time on his Strider.) We also found the bike exceptional for our 4 year old that couldn’t ride a bike without stabilisers at the time
